Helping little Riyan Mormak

After getting contacted by Bad Girls Good Deeds and hearing about little Riyan's story, we immediately wanted to get involved for his event September 7th.

This is the story of little Riyan Mormak and his family...

Riyan's mom writes:
I am a stay at home mom for my son, Riyan who will be a year old on July 7. At just 4 months old in November of 2012 Riyan started having seizures. Since then he has been in and out of Jersey Shore Hospital almost a dozen times. The doctor tried 5 different medications over the months of which 4 did not help.

After much testing the doctor found that Riyan was born missing the part of his brain that connects the left and the right hemispheres making him susceptible to seizure activity. While trying to control the seizures Riyan developed infantile spasms and is now on medication for that.

I have tried to apply for SSI but was denied. My husband is the only one working because I cannot leave my son to go to work due to his condition until it is controlled. I have been using as many resources as I can that are available to me such as food pantries and WIC but we are starting to fall very behind on utility bills and car payments. So I was just wondering if there are any available funds to help out my family just a little bit. We would greatly appreciate anything that you could help us with!
