We took a challenged company emerging in the mattress industry and placed in a 14 day marketing strategy focused around 1 night, 50 Shades of Shovlin.
The scenario...The movie 50 Shades of Grey was released on Valentine’s Day. Coincidence? We think not. And also, we revealed one of the best-kept bedroom secrets of all time! To celebrate the release of 50 Shades of Shovlin, Shovlin Mattress Factory hosted a private, invitation-only event this Friday, February 13th 2015 in anticipation of their short film release on Saturday, February 14, 2015. The event include a Green Screen Custom Photo Station with 6 different photo backdrops for attendees to choose from, plus an array of fun toys and props for the Photo Booth Experience!
How we Stepped It Up...We increased Facebook Page likes from 504 to 522 during the campaign, adding 18 new followers organically. Our highest reaching organic (non-boosted) post reached 299 people. Twitter followers increased 15% from 138 to 159. Engagement rates on Twitter went from nearly zero to over 100 impressions in a single day. Instagram followers have increased by 18 in the past 2 weeks from 19 followers up to 28 (first image). This represents a 158% increase in followers, and a 500% increase in activity. We received live sharing from the event from and post-event sharing by TAP Into Westfield. Our follow-up Email blast had a 90% percent open rate and our SMS subscribers increased from zero to 20.
