Keep Calm It's Our 3rd Anniversary

Today is our company’s official 3 year anniversary. People thought I was crazy to start, create, & innovate a new business in winter of 2012. People questioned me, “are you sure you want to do this?"  or "why are you re-creating a photo booth business?” It was just weeks/months ahead of all the creative, development, branding and technology formulation to build us different and then......we launch out to the do our first event.

What Madness Possessed Me?

I was a master of my domain in creative, photography, technology and marketing. But realistically after the passing of my Father, I could no longer allow my personal life to be ripped away from me and carry resentments as I couldn't watch the Yankees game with my dad because I got dragged into 6 last minute back to back meetings at 5:45PM. I wanted control over my life and career, who and what I worked for. So after a few phone calls from DJ friend, I spent the next months planning, creating and formulating my business.

All Or Nothing

I hit the ground running. Attending several business networking events a week, day and night. Met people. Shook hands. Swapped business cards and “Elevator Pitches.” Unfortunately, no bookings = no income. So I kept at it, every day.

The Tipping Point

By April 2013, things began to brighten. I became a member of LeTip International and booked a few big Fortune 500 corporate clients. Money started coming in and it went right back for more equipment. We began to grow and soon after referrals began to roll in.

Now it’s December 2015 and we are still here. We have doubled the business. We are planning to double again and franchise in 2016. We hold 2 registered trademarks with the US Government and 2 more pending. We created a 100% free mobile app that launched yesterday in iTunes. Last I counted; we completed over 350 successful events for corporate & private party clients. We’re booking new and repeat clients regularly and over 75% recommendations from people that have seen us in action at a party.

Has It Been Easy?

Not at all. I knew a lot before becoming a small business owner, and have learned a ton more since as Chief Executive Everything! Through all the stress and anxiety, I am happier now working seven days a week for myself. Most importantly, we put smiles on everyone's face at every event we do. We are memory makers. We have changed the way people look and engage at an open "photo booth" or in the Step It Up Events® world, we call it Custom Photo Station Solutions™.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our success. I’m looking forward to the chapters ahead.
